For nearly 20 years, the team assembled at High Country Timberframe and Gallery Woodworking has offered an array of services to its customers, with mindful attention to the details of every commission. The professional team of woodworkers that make up this group are just that … professionals. They all have gained a wide variety of expertise and compliment each other with their knowledge of woodworking. From the chemical engineer and the poet to the boat builder and the salsa chef, one common vision lives within all of them … “to instill in each project that bit of soul unavailable in mass produced work”.
Influenced by Greene and Greene, James Krenov, and the traditional sukiya and minka styles of Japanese architecture, Tom Owens apprenticed under a master Japanese temple carpenter and incorporates his knowledge of minka and sukiya styles in every timber frame structure and every piece of furniture he designs and builds. Pete Jankowski has worked from New England to the Florida Keys over the past thirty-five years as a finish carpenter, architectural woodworker, and timber framer. A strong work ethic passed down to him by his father, and an eye for classic detail has led Pete to this path in fine woodworking.
