Sustainable Building

Our work follows the National Association of Home Builders Green Building standards. Over the past decade, we have been following the educational guidelines and have incorporated key earth-friendly policies within our building process. We also take pride to live environmentally friendly within our every day lives. Collectively, we are conscious of how we impact the environment in a most profound way, and would encourage our clients to live the same way. Our carbon footprint relates to the amount of greenhouse gasses produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating, transportation, etc. In the US alone, buildings account for:

Since then, our individual lifestyles and how we perform in our every day lives, impacts the environment in a most profound way. Our carbon footprint relates to the amount of greenhouse gasses produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating, transportation, etc. In the US alone, buildings account for:

  • 72% of electricity consumption

  • 39% of total energy use

  • 38% of all carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions

  • 40% of raw materials use

  • 30% of waste output equal to 136 million tons annually

  • 14% of potable water consumption

Simple measures can be taken to reduce your carbon footprint, including:

  • Turn off lights, DVD player, TV, computer, etc. when not in use

  • Turn down the settings for the heating and air conditioning, plus the water heater

  • Wait for full loads in the dish washer and laundry before running

  • Consolidate shopping trips to cut down usage of your vehicle

It is critical for all of us to do our part, no matter how small, in order to protect and sustain our health and the health of our world.
