A COMMON VISION

At Gallery Woodworking Co., success comes in two sizes: large and small. The shop builds timber frame homes and custom furniture — but in spite of the extremes, everything flows like wax onto wood.
The synergy came to life a little more than a decade ago when Tom Owens and Pete Jankowski crossed paths in Boone, N.C. They were both working for a building contractor in town and were doing most of the challenging projects.
“It was evident we’d get the calls to do the more difficult, fussy work, whether we were employees of someone else or working on our own. We chose to team up and work on our own and focus on both traditional timber frame construction and fine furniture,” they recall.
